We want to set you up for a long solution in improving your gait and any issues associated with it. Healthfix’s team of professionals work together to get you to your fittest, faster. Your physiotherapist will give you a detailed explanation of your condition and design an exercise program exclusively suited to your particular injury. We prescribe orthotics only after a thorough history as well as a series of taping to make sure you love the feeling of being supported.
GaitScan
Should you require orthotics we can order you prefabricated orthotics, but we highly recommend the use of GaitScan. GaitScan is foot scanning technology used to assess and facilitate treatment of issues further up the leg, in the ankle, knee, hip, pelvis and/or the lumbar region which may be causing your foot pain. Gaitscan allows us to gain a comprehensive biomechanical evaluation for each patient and create personalised orthotics specifically for your feet. Based on the scan outcome we can determine whether particular shoes or orthotics can be recommended and, if needed we integrate with podiatrists and sports podiatrists.The perfect addition to your consultation
The GaitScan can be used during your Physiotherapy consult at no additional charge. We also make use of the HICAPS system for automatic claims through your private health fund, should you need to order orthotics. It’s the perfect addition to your consultation.
