Proactive GP Management Plan
What is it?
Feeling healthy is not the absence of injury or illness and being physically active is at the core of healthy living. To do this we suggest 2 dietitian consults and 3 exercise consults with an exercise physiologist or personal trainer as a way to kick start a long term healthy habit.
Speak to your GP about whether you are eligible for this program to proactively manage your risk factors. Simply, it’s about taking control of your health and working on your risk factors rather than waiting and hoping nothing happens to you.

This is a great way to get you talking to your GP about proactively managing your health risks to prevent any future hiccups.
A good diet and safe way to exercise is essential for long term health and this can be easier said than done.

Current guidelines on physical activity for Australian adults are:
- 2.5-3 hours per week of moderate intensity
- 1.25-2.5 hours per week of vigorous intensity
- Or a combination equivalent to the above
- At least 2 days of strength training
- Activity on all days
- Sit less and move more
