JP is one of Healthfix’s highly motivated, goal oriented and results driven Accredited Exercise Physiologist. JP prides himself on maintaining the highest standard of quality care with a unique patient focused approach as he strives to establish individualized rehabilitation programs to achieve short, mid, long-term goals and health management solutions. JP qualified as an Exercise Physiologist (Biokineticist) at Stellenbosch University, South Africa. After completing his studies and gaining early experience in the field of exercise and rehabilitation in South Africa, JP continued developing his skill-set as an Allied Health Professional in the United Kingdom and has since moved to Australia in 2014 to continue this passion for exercise-based rehabilitation. Along with gaining invaluable experience dealing with musculoskeletal injuries while working for the British Military, positions as a Professional Care Assistant specializing in Spinal-cord Injuries and a Biokineticist/Exercise Rehabilitation Specialist at various other clinics, JP has also gained experience in exercise prescription and management of individuals with chronic/metabolic conditions. Current patients and clients worked with include individuals with musculoskeletal injuries, neurological and neuromuscular disorders, cardiopulmonary conditions, metabolic disorders, children and adolescence with special needs, individuals with a physical disability, elderly, healthy population and elite athlete performance. His personal and professional approach to a healthy lifestyle perfectly fits the Healthfix philosophy regarding the idea that there is no ‘quick fix’ when it comes to holistic and physical wellbeing. In his free time, JP won’t be found to far from the outdoors as adventure sports make up a big part of his approach to a healthy lifestyle. In 2018 he summited Mount Kilimanjaro and he ran the UTA 50 in 2019 for a third time. UTA100 2020, here we come! JP is available at our North Sydney clinic. – B. Sport Sc. Jonathan ChellasM. Clinical Ex. Phys. & B. Ex. & Sports Sc.
Jonathan is a hard-working Exercise Physiologist at our North Sydney clinic. He takes pride in guiding people to achieve their goals which improves their long-term health, function and performance. Jonathan implements a proactive approach to health combined with his bubbly upbeat personality really helps to motivate people. He strives to guide and educate each person through their unique path from their current position through to achieving and maintaining their long-term goals. He was born in the inner city, however, his family soon moved to Sydney’s Northern Beaches. It’s only natural that he has always had a keen interest in the great outdoors and sport, with a career in allied health being a goal from a young age. After completing a Bachelor of Ex. & Sports Sc. at ACU, Jonathan realised his passion for injury rehabilitation and chronic disease management so decided to peruse a Master of Clinical Ex. Phys. Following his studies, Jonathan immediately began practicing as an Exercise Physiologist gaining valuable experience working with a variety of musculoskeletal, neurological, oncological, cardiometabolic, and mental health conditions. Jonathan believes in setting realistic goals to improve your health and achieve your greatest success. He preaches the Healthfix philosophy regarding the importance of lifestyle change and that there are no short cuts forming habits to maintain on track. Jonathan has a passion for all things outdoors with a particular love for motorcycles, having spent years travelling the country performing stunt shows and winning his respective age class twice in the Australian Trials Championships. Moto trials is a slow speed motorcycle competition where you ride over and around a variety of obstacles requiring balance, skill and concentration. Think a cross between a tough mudder and Ninja Warrior on motorcycles. Daniel is a passionate and enthusiastic Exercise Physiologist, who prides himself in maintaining the highest standard of quality care, to guide and educate each individual to improve long- term health, function and performance. He has a deep desire to positively and significantly impact the lives of his clients through establishing individualised rehabilitation programs for optimal health outcomes. Daniel has had a great interest in sport and outdoor activities from a young age, with a career in allied health always the goal. After completing a Bachelor of Human Movement (Sport and Exercise Science) at UTS and thereafter a Master’s of Clinical Exercise Physiology, he immediately began practicing as an Exercise Physiologist, gaining valuable experience working with a diverse range of individuals. He has had opportunities working with the following conditions: musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiometabolic, children and adolescents with special needs, elderly and mental health, as well as working extensively with government frameworks including Medicare and DVA. Throughout the last few years, Daniel has invested time into learning and growing his skillset within higher athletic performance environments. These include internships with the NSWIS and Blacktown City Football Club, both of which provided incredibly insightful and valuable opportunities to learn and develop professionally. These experiences created a passion and desire for complex sporting injuries and various other musculoskeletal pathologies. In his spare time, Daniel has a passion for all things sporting related. He plays Oz-tag, Rugby Union and loves his long distance running and resistance training. Daniel is a big believer in being active and the holistic health benefits that are associated with a balanced lifestyle.
